Dear ,
Despite the approaching September equinox, summer is reaching its
bittersweet end in New York City. Unlike summers past, this year’s extreme heat and humidity kept even the most intrepid New Yorker indoors in air-conditioned offices and coffee shops. As a result, this summer’s trips to New York’s ocean beaches were few in
number. Yet last Friday the sun and heat relented leaving us with perfect beach day. So we closed the office early and headed to Brooklyn’s public sands via subway.
On our way, we stopped at the Mr. Frosty soft ice cream truck for chocolate dipped cones. Even though the coating speeds up the melting
interior. I didn’t care. I let the cone drip onto the wooden boardwalk. Once we settled into our beach chairs, my body soaked in the
sun’s restorative rays. While the ocean lapped against the shore, I felt soothed as my mind cleared of work related cares. Then I realized how much I had missed my summer beach days. But the end of summer also brings new beginnings. As school starts, many return to their regular business routines. In addition to the networking and business deals they foster, conferences in your niche set the agenda for the key topics and spotlight influencers. Additionally conferences often incorporate a larger theme. For example, this year’s Content Marketing World theme is “Game On!”
Actionable Marketing Tips: - Use conference websites to tap into the coming trends and top thought leaders.
- Use conferences to
create related content. Take advantage of focused attention on your niche to distribute related content when people are paying attention.
- Incorporate a theme into your marketing, at least by quarter. This provides a useful hook for your content marketing and design.
