actionable marketing guide
Dear , For me the true first signs of spring appear with the colored buds on the flowering trees that line my neighborhood streets. They remind me of the buds of the forsythia shrubs surrounding my parents’ house. The fosythia looked like bright yellow paint splattered against the white stucco exterior. Unfortunately, while I was in chilly San Diego, the warm New York temperatures teased these delicate blossoms out of hiding. But the remains of last week’s Noreaster encased them in frozen snow. By contrast, moving our clocks ahead an hour is a more experiential jolt. Beyond changing my internal clock, spring’s fresh sunshine pours in through our large windows filling my workspace with its warm glow. I love the creative burst I get from this season. Everything feels fresh and new again. As a creative, I happily face the blank screen ready to develop a wealth of ideas. After Social Media Marketing World 2018, I’m still exhilarated and bursting with creative energy from seeing and engaging with smart attendess from around the world. This year Mike Stelzner and Phil Mershon expanded SMMW’s offering to include special tracks targeted to content creators. Even better, many of the presenters for these sessions used the opportunity to co-create content with other speakers. Actionable Marketing Tip:
For example, I participated in Madalyn Sklar’s Live #TwitterSmart chat on Thursday, March 1st with guest, Lisa Buyer. Please Don’t tell Madalyn but I had more fun posing for silly photos with the other live participants. At my session on content ideation on Friday, March 2nd, I taught a roomful of content creators how to overcome Blank Screen Syndrome and brainstorm their way to a calendar full of content. Don’t worry—I’ve got you covered with my updated article that details my BRAVO Method! Please let me know if there are any particular topics that you’d like me to cover in future blog posts. Feel free to hit respond and let me know what marketing challenges are keeping you up at night. (Go on, I know you really want someone to listen to you!) Happy marketing,, Heidi Cohen P.S.
